In the Romanian market, 30% of businesses struggle with slow transaction speeds through traditional banking services, according to industry reports.
Revolut Business and Danubius Exim plan to address this issue by introducing Revolut Reader to their customer base across Romania. As part of the partnership, Danubius will provide an initial fleet of 2,200 terminals along with maintenance support and training for new customers.
Deployment through Danubius’ National Network
The hardware will be made available throughout Danubius’ extensive network of over 340 authorized partners. The terminal is priced at EUR 40 plus VAT, and the installation services are currently free of additional charges.
Revolut Reader comes equipped with a portable payment device that supports both physical and virtual card payments, including those from digital wallets.

Recent surveys indicate that 30% of customers using traditional banks experience slow transactions, ranking as the second major issue after high fees. Additionally, negative mobile and digital experiences account for 19% of responses.
