HUMO, Uzbekistan’s national payment system, has collaborated with Alipay+ in Beijing to promote cross-border QR payments.

This partnership includes integrating Octobank’s Octomobile app and more local HUMO-connected wallets by the end of 2025. Currently, HUMO is among the ten national QR networks associated with Alipay+.

Alipay+’s New Features

In its first phase, HUMO users will be able to travel to China and 50 other countries such as Kazakhstan, Thailand, the UAE, the US, and others, making payments in UZS through their preferred local payment methods or banking apps during various stages of their journey.

Alipay+ facilitates this via its network of 40 digital wallets and bank apps, and 10 national QR code payment systems globally. This partnership empowers Uzbek merchants to accept payments from Alipay+ users, fostering growth opportunities for businesses in the country.

As a major component of Uzbekistan’s financial ecosystem, HUMO links 35 local banks and 42 non-bank financial institutions, making it easier for Uzbek citizens to travel globally while creating new business prospects.
