The Swedish fintech company Vilja has recently raised USD 4 million (SEK 40 million) to boost its international expansion beyond the Nordics.
This funding will support Vilja’s long-term development and help the company establish an AI development center in Kuala Lumpur.
The capital injection includes a new share issue from September and a SEK 8.5 million loan from DBT Capital, intended to strengthen Vilja’s presence in international markets and further develop its cloud-based core banking platform for secure and efficient deposits.
Vilja’s Cloud-Native Core Banking Platform
Vilja offers a cloud-native core banking platform designed for banks and financial institutions, providing flexible digital solutions. The company has developed modular business capabilities with an end-to-end design to meet customers’ specific needs.
According to the press release, Vilja plans to continue its SaaS growth and expand into new regions in Europe after the Nordics. Additionally, building its own AI development center is a key strategy as artificial intelligence is seen as crucial for platform growth.
Vilja will maintain its focus on client needs while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
