According to company data, Lunar users can now send money internationally to over 160 countries across 40 different currencies.
The partnership builds on an existing initiative where Wise is already utilizing Moonrise, Lunar’s banking infrastructure platform, for enhanced local clearing and payments in Scandinavia. This collaboration will see the introduction of Wise’s white-label solution to Lunar’s private and business users in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. This feature enables users to quickly send money internationally at a low cost, all within their app.
Wise’s network connects directly to over 70 global licences and six payment systems worldwide, facilitating approximately 65% of transfers that arrive instantly or within 20 seconds. This partnership is among the first such collaborations for Lunar in the region and highlights the growing demand for faster, more transparent alternatives to traditional cross-border banking solutions.
Currently, the product is available for customers in Denmark, with scheduled launches for Sweden and Norway by year-end.
In related news from Lunar, the bank expanded its collaboration with Froda into Sweden in February 2025. Leveraging Froda’s embedded lending platform and Visa’s global card infrastructure, Lunar provided its Swedish users quick and flexible business loans directly through their app. The entire process was entirely digital, eliminating traditional barriers such as long wait times and complex requirements.
This partnership marked a significant step towards optimizing business financing in Sweden more efficiently and transparently.
