Mollie has recently extended its service into Finland, introducing MobilePay and offering tailored support to local businesses. This expansion aims to enhance payment optimization for European companies.

Local Support and Payment Solutions

The introduction of Mollie in Finland is designed to provide a comprehensive platform that simplifies payment processing, reporting, and fraud prevention. The company already has 250,000 customers across Europe and seeks to optimize payments for all European businesses.

In a country known for its advanced digital infrastructure, many firms have found the available payment solutions insufficient or not adequately addressing local needs. Mollie’s aim is to offer personalized services that cater specifically to the unique requirements of Finnish companies.

Through Mollie’s platform, businesses can incorporate popular Finnish payment methods such as MobilePay alongside widely recognized international options like credit cards, Google Pay, and Klarna. This integration ensures customers have a seamless experience whether shopping online, via an app, or in physical stores.

The solution also includes multilingual support, making it easier for companies to focus on their core business rather than technical details. Mollie’s integration tools are compatible with major e-commerce platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and Prestashop, streamlining the setup process.

Mollie Connect offers an additional service by facilitating the onboarding of new merchants, collection of app commissions, and automatic distribution of payments among multiple parties. This feature enables companies to begin using Mollie without facing technical challenges in setting up international infrastructure, thereby making it easier to accept payments from Nordic countries and beyond.

Mollie’s launch will coincide with simultaneous entries into Finland, Denmark, and Norway. Previously, the company had already launched its services in Hungary, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic in July 2025, offering customized payment solutions to local businesses and providing local support.
