du Pay has recently introduced a ‘Salary in the Digital Wallet’ service, enabling employees in the UAE to receive their salaries directly into their digital du Pay wallets.

Providing a comprehensive suite of financial services, du Pay includes international money transfers, mobile recharges, and payments both online and offline using a debit card. Operating under the oversight of the Central Bank of the UAE, this platform leverages du’s robust infrastructure to offer secure and inclusive financial solutions for residents in the United Arab Emirates.

The introduction of this digital wallet feature is expected to enhance the daily lives of workers by offering simplified, secure, and digital financial services. By registering with du Pay, customers can obtain a unique IBAN, which simplifies the process of receiving salary deposits into their wallets.

This innovative initiative aims to transform how the workforce accesses their earnings. Users gain immediate access to funds through the du Pay mobile app and can also utilize a physical du Pay card for contactless transactions.

Supporting Low-Income Workers

The digital wallet feature proves particularly beneficial for a significant portion of the UAE’s workforce, who earn less than AED 5,000 per month and may have limited or no access to traditional banking services.

Through du Pay, these individuals can open zero-balance accounts, eliminating the need for cash handling while still benefiting from digital transfer and payment conveniences. Customers can also enjoy international money transfers, bill payments, mobile recharges, debit card issuance, and various card-based transactions.

du Pay intends to roll out additional features to further digitize disbursements, making it easier for UAE employers to use this streamlined solution in support of a more digitally integrated and inclusive workforce environment.
