Among the participants, 92% reported that they provide free tools and support to their customers. Meanwhile, all respondents stated that they would report any breaches, with over two-thirds also sharing information among peers in the industry.

In terms of responsibility for cybersecurity, 93% of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) indicated that it falls on the top management level. Furthermore, cybersecurity is recognized as beneficial for business, as 75% of ISPs mentioned that they have been approached by potential customers regarding this aspect.

The survey also highlighted that ISPs are interested in an ecosystem-based approach to addressing cyber threats. This includes better law enforcement training and the coordination of a government-backed awareness campaign (64%), rather than new regulations (18%). Additionally, 91% of respondents expressed concerns about potential impacts on network security due to government surveillance measures.

Regarding improvements in handling cybercrime, ISPs suggested that the police need increased funding and better training. They also emphasized the importance of enhanced threat information sharing and a new education and public information campaign targeted at end users.
