Netherlands-based Booking.com has introduced a new credit card in the US, titled the Booking.com Genius Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card.
Collaboration with Imprint and First Electronic Bank
To launch this credit card, Booking.com partnered with Imprint, an expert in designing, launching, and managing co-branded credit card programs for global brands. The card will be issued by First Electronic Bank, a FDIC-insured, state-chartered industrial bank.
Individuals seeking to apply must have a Booking.com account, which can easily be created on the company’s website or app at no cost.
Rewards and Benefits for Cardholders
Cardholders will enjoy various benefits including welcome offers. They can earn USD 150 in travel credits after spending USD 1,500 within 90 days, with an additional USD 100 if their annual spending exceeds USD 15,000.
By enrolling, users are upgraded to Genius Level Three, Booking.com’s top loyalty tier, offering perks such as up to 20% off on eligible stays, free breakfast, room upgrades, and priority support.
Rewards Program
The rewards program is designed to offer significant benefits. Cardholders receive 6% back in travel credits for bookings made via the app, 5% back on flights, stays, car rentals, attractions, cruises, and airport taxis through the website, 3% back on purchases during a stay booked online, and 3% on dining, gas, and groceries with an additional 2% back in travel credits on all other purchases.
These rewards can be redeemed towards future eligible stays, flights, car rentals, attractions, or airport taxis. Each USD 1 in travel credits translates to the same amount for spending on Booking.com, without any minimum redemption requirement.
No Foreign Fees and Comprehensive Travel Protections
The Genius Rewards Visa Signature card does not charge foreign transaction fees and offers various travel protections including auto rental coverage, trip cancellation insurance, and travel accident insurance. This card is ideal for frequent travelers who regularly use Booking.com’s services to secure their bookings.
