Ingenico, a provider of payment acceptance services, has recently acquired certification under the latest PCI PTSv7 standard for its Ingenico AXIUM SX5000 products.
Enhanced Security and Safety
This new certification enhances the security of payment terminals while also boosting the safety of other devices used in processing payment card transactions at the point of interaction. The PCI PTSv7 standard is primarily concerned with guarding against physical tampering and malware.
The criteria for this standard include securing biometric sensors and enhancing PIN entry accessibility features, which optimizes the internal security of Ingenico’s AXIUM SX5000 terminals. Ingenico earned this certification through its product design focusing on long-term security and regular certification updates. The certification is valid until 2035.
Secure and Versatile Payment Solutions
The AXIUM SX5000 terminals provide a secure, modern, and flexible payment solution for self-service environments with easy integration capabilities and robust security features. Ingenico developed the AXIUM SX series to offer reliable and adaptable configurations, an improved user interface, and greater flexibility.
Ingenico is committed to providing future-ready and safe payment solutions that meet evolving client needs in sectors such as vendors, acquirers, ISVs, and merchants. The company also focuses on adhering to industry laws and regulatory requirements.
The certification process reflects Ingenico’s forward-thinking approach to terminal design. By anticipating future security standards during the development phase of the terminals, Ingenico ensured that its security test report was submitted early to PCI SSC, thereby ensuring technology readiness and demonstrating a strong commitment to security.
