Ant International has broadened its merchant payment AI functions through Antom, the company’s merchant payment and digitalization services provider.
New Capabilities of Antom Copilot
The AI agent, Antom Copilot, now enhances its functionality in areas such as payment integration, onboarding, risk configuration, and chargeback solutions. This was officially launched in 2024 on the Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit within Ant International’s platform.
As an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) platform, it empowers fintechs and super apps to develop AI-driven financial services. A key focus is on enabling more effective dispute resolution for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Achievements and Features of Antom Copilot 2.0
Nearly half of the SME clients of Antom do not actively respond to chargebacks, a common challenge that Antom Copilot 2.0 is addressing through the introduction of a Chargeback AI Assistant. This assistant delivers personalized response strategies based on detailed case analysis, aiding merchants in improving revenue control and customer service.
Additional features include support for documentation, success rate analysis, defense building, and post-care evaluation, demonstrating an improvement in win rates by 3% with a significant reduction of 46% in time spent resolving disputes during pilot tests.
To ensure reliability and accuracy, the process involves direct merchant review and manual verification. Recommendations for payment methods, acquiring services, and integration solutions are based on user needs and market analysis provided by Antom Copilot. AI-assisted onboarding is also offered, leveraging multilingual language models to extract necessary documents from registration data.
Risk management settings can be configured using natural language prompts, with enhanced AI-driven fraud detection tools making it easier for users to manage risk effectively.
The platform significantly speeds up integration processes by more than 90%, utilizing CoT reasoning, standard operating procedure automation, and user-friendly interfaces. It also provides insights based on industry trends and market conditions, helping merchants deploy localized payment solutions quickly with reduced effort.
During the first half of 2025, 56% of dashboard users interacted with embedded Antom Copilot, highlighting its widespread use and value in day-to-day operations.
