After adopting a reimagined version of the Temenos digital banking platform, supported by Orion Innovation, BNI Madagascar is enhancing its digital experience.
This move includes a new mobile application that deviates from typical templates to better align with local user expectations and preferences.
The development process was collaborative between Orion and BNI Madagascar, aiming to achieve long-term strategic goals and maintain the bank’s visual identity. This effort involved addressing various design elements and technical specifications to create a system capable of supporting future expansions while optimizing current operations.
BNI Madagascar officials highlighted that the new mobile platform is designed for intuitive interaction flows, with a focus on ease of use and accessibility. Since its launch, internal assessments have shown increased user engagement and largely positive feedback regarding the app’s structure and navigability.
Regional Deployments Signal Digital Transformation
Temenos officials pointed out that BNI Madagascar’s deployment is part of a broader digital transformation trend in African markets, where banks are striving to accelerate service delivery and customer engagement. This rollout also demonstrates how Temenos solutions can be tailored effectively by implementation partners like Orion Innovation, which take into account local needs.
Orion representatives emphasized the platform’s scalability, stating it is built to handle rapid feature rollouts efficiently. They believe this will help BNI Madagascar remain responsive to changing customer demands.
During the earlier part of the year, EastWest Bank in the Philippines also chose to implement Temenos’ Software as a Service (SaaS) model for its core banking upgrade, making it one of several financial institutions seeking to navigate digital infrastructure changes through adapted solutions.
